BMC FM482/08 Air Filter for Ducati Multistrada and Diavel

The BMC FM482/08 is a high-performance reusable motorcycle air filter developed as a replacement for the original airbox filter fitted to compatible Ducati and Bimota motorcycles. BMC manufactures the filter using multiple layers of cotton gauze soaked in low-viscosity oil and protected by an epoxy-coated alloy mesh. This construction is designed to combine increased airflow with efficient filtration, with BMC stating that its filtration system can retain impurities as small as 7 microns. The filter is produced using BMC's Full Moulding manufacturing process, which creates the characteristic red filter structure from a single mould without welded joints that could become potential weak points. Durable rubber is used to provide long service life and effective adhesion to the airbox shape. The FM482/08 arrives pre-oiled and ready for installation and can be washed and regenerated using appropriate BMC filter-maintenance products. Official compatibility includes Ducati Diavel 1200, Multistrada 1200, Streetfighter and Superbike applications, along with selected Bimota DB-series motorcycles. BMC identifies Ducati 42610201S as the corresponding OEM reference. The Unique-type filter measures 105 mm by 63 mm at its base and has a height of 230 mm. BMC specifies one filter per package and a gross packaged weight of 0.25 kg.
