Barkbusters BHG-146 KTM 390 Handguard Mount

The Barkbusters BHG-146 is a bike-specific two-point handguard mounting kit developed for the latest generation of KTM 390 motorcycles. Official Barkbusters fitment covers the KTM 390 Adventure R, 390 Adventure X, 390 Enduro R and 390 SMC R from 2025 onward. The system uses a heat-treated aluminium backbone designed to provide strength and impact protection around the rider's hands, levers and handlebar controls. Unlike a single-point mounting arrangement, the BHG-146 secures the full wrap-around backbone at two locations, creating a more rigid protective structure. Barkbusters has designed the hardware around the motorcycles' OEM specifications to provide model-specific installation. The kit can be used as an aluminium protective backbone or combined with compatible Barkbusters plastic guards for additional coverage from wind, weather, debris and trail conditions. Compatible guard options include JET, VPS, STORM and CARBON models, which are purchased separately. The supplied package consists of a pair of handguard mounts together with the required mounting materials and fitting instructions. This makes the BHG-146 a suitable foundation for riders building a complete Barkbusters handguard system for compatible KTM 390 models.
